Turkish Citizenship

Turkish Citizenship by Investment

Obtaining Turkish citizenship through investment has four main options, with very straightforward conditions to follow.

A foreign investor can become a Turkish citizen by making one of the following investments:

Turkish Citizenship Through Real Estate Investment

A foreign investor can obtain Turkish citizenship by purchasing real estate worth at least $400,000.

The investor’s family is also eligible for citizenship, including the spouse and children under 18 years of age.

When purchasing property in Turkey, the investor has full ownership rights. In other words, they are free to sell the property after three years from the date of purchase, or they may rent it out immediately. The property can also be inherited by legal heirs.

Deposit of $500,000 in a Turkish Bank

An investor may qualify for Turkish citizenship by depositing $500,000, or the equivalent amount in Turkish Lira, into a Turkish bank.

The condition for this investment is that the deposited amount must not be withdrawn for three years.

Purchase of Government Bonds (Minimum $500,000)

A foreign investor can obtain a Turkish passport by purchasing government bonds or treasury bills worth at least $500,000, provided they are held for a minimum of three years.

Establishing a Company and Employing 50 Turkish Citizens

According to Turkish law, foreign investors may obtain Turkish citizenship by establishing a company in Turkey and employing at least 50 Turkish citizens.
